SpaceX leases Eastside warehouse for Starlink division
SpaceX, one of the largest tech employers in the Puget Sound region with over 2,000 employees, is expanding its presence in the area. Starlink, the satellite division of SpaceX, will now be leasing space at Woodinville’s LogistiCenter. Although the arrangement has not been officially confirmed by SpaceX or Starlink, permit records show the company will occupy Building A at 8131 W. Bostian Road.
Starlink has 15 job listings open in Woodinville right now, a potential sign of its intent to expand its workforce in the region. The company’s decision to lease space in Washington’s wine hub follows the growing presence of tech companies on the Eastside.
The 197,552-square-foot industrial lease will be used for various operations, though specific details have not been disclosed. Recent permits indicate updates to the property, such as a $950,000 investment in high-pile storage and racking, as well as the construction of a mezzanine level, office space, and other structural changes.
Reports indicate that Starlink specifically sought a location with easy access to both Kirkland and Bellevue, key areas for attracting potential new employees. While SpaceX is based in California, Starlink operates out of Redmond, and this new expansion underscores the continued growth of the company on the Eastside.
